Most comments are hidden

On my lemmy.ml instance, most of the comments on my posts get hidden. I can see them from my notifications but not the actual posts. However I can perfectly see all of them on other instances like lemmy.world. Is this normal?

Adding more questions to get a better picture:

Are the posts on lemmy.ml or on other instances?
Are the hidden comments made by people from lemmy.ml or other instances?
Does the situation change over time, e.g. on older posts you see all comments but on new posts you don’t?
