Made me think: death ragdoll physics in games still looks like shit if that’s what it looks like in real life.

Right but if they curl into a fetal position it also looks weird because we’re so used to Hollywood deaths.

That’s because that’s the way the spine naturally moves when it’s not under stress. People tend to be moving forward, so they fall forward. It’s really pretty anticlimactic when someone gets shot and dies almost instantly IRL, because most bullets make small holes and don’t ‘push’ the person to any significant degree.
