What's the deal with liberals suddenly calling people on here "troglodytes", is it just because it's offensive but won't get them jumped for ableism?

Over the last week I could swear I’ve seen way more types suddenly throwing around the word troglodyte left right and centre

Honestly, I kinda wish. Thatched roofs would be nice and aren’t too uncommon in this part of the world.
