Merhaba!

I have been learning Turkish for a little while now, and I can’t find anyone to ask advice, or other learners for mutual encouragement. I used to visit the Turkish sub on reddit, but I don’t use reddit any more since recent events.

I really like how Turkish sounds, how it looks in writing/text, and it’s making me more curious about other parts of Turkish culture, history etc.

As I’m sure you all will know, it’s incredibly difficult to stay motivated while learning a language. Especially in isolation.

It would be great if there was even a language post in this community. Maybe there aren’t enough learners to do that, I don’t know. What do you think?

I think you can add tags to certain posts to categorize them. I see them in some of the communities I’ve subscribed to. They have a gray outline and are to the left of the post title. You can add tags when creating a thread from the tags menu and @kbinmeta has tags if you want to see an example.

Do you mean a pinned/stickied post? Whatever it is, I’d just like to see some Turkish learning stuff on Lemmy, and also to get advice from people who speak the language natively.

You just got to type whatever tag name you want to this bar to tag a post. In your case you could post under a tag like “Dil”/“Language” when asking language related questions.

If you create such a community,I could link it in the community metadata for related communities and pin it for some time
