Lemmy for the most part is just an extension of Reddit culturally, politically, demographically. The only exception are the tankies, but those honestly deserve to be on a list because they’re batshit crazy. They’re the same tier as neo nazis in my book, if one is on a list then the other should be as well.

Hey, could you explain to me what a tankie is? I’ve never heard that term before.

I don’t mind them because they don’t have it out for me specifically. I appreciate a crazy edge to my internet communities. Always have. But I’m so tired of the one particular brand of crazy that thinks it should be legal and cool to shoot me to death in the street for looking good in a dress. I understand that the extreme end collapses into fascism, but their general view of and what they want to see in the world isn’t a vision in which I have been specifically and personally exterminated, so it’s a flavor of extremism I can socialize with.

This is, hands down, the most brain damaged point of view that I’ve seen on this platform, and this platform is literally littered with extremists, so wow… Just wow.

You have, in the last hour, used both mental illness and brain damage as signs of or synonymous with personal and moral failure. That’s incredibly shitty of you. Reckless ableism isn’t an argument. It’s personal and moral failure.
