Interesting, from that data it seems SSD reliability so far isnβt too far off from HDDs (at least for Backblazeβs intensive cloud storage workload) despite having no moving partsβ¦
Will be interesting to see how the reliability plays out as they build up their SSD inventory over the coming years

Among us are represented the various reasons to keep data β legal requirements, competitive requirements, uncertainty of permanence of cloud services, distaste for transmitting your data externally (e.g. government or corporate espionage), cultural and familial archivists, internet collapse preppers, and people who do it themselves so theyβre sure itβs done right.
