Er der nogen, der ved, hvorfor de danske fortove ser ud som de gør? Hvorfor er det to (eller flere) cementplader med kampesten imellem? Er det ren æstetik eller er der nogle praktiske grunde?

Jeg kom til at tænke på det da jeg var ude at gå en tur her i formiddags

Yeah, that is an extremly weird example you got there but I always thought that the two rows of cement plates with cobble-stone are probably makes it just the right width for wheelchairs and baby carriages? It’s fascinating …

Baby carriages go on the cobble-stone if you want the baby to sleep. Every parent knows this :)

How come you think it’s weird? 😄 granted, it’s a random pic I grabbed off a quick internet search, but this type of sidewalk is pretty common where I live. Is it because they’re not that common in your town? But yes, I also thought it had something to do with accommodating people when walking. It just seems odd that the cobblestone is somehow necessary for that? Why not just put the two cement slabs side by side?
