I live in Hartford, some places here look like war-torn countries. so much homelessness, poverty, open drug use, etc. none of these assholes care or will do anything about it.

There was a lemmy lib in this thread for literally ~60 seconds after I saw their comment. They was banned or blocked or whatever even before I replied to them. They unironically said…

I love people acting like a lone Senator can achieve anything.

It made me laugh.

Connecticut has some of the most visible wage gaps in the country, the place is so small you can’t hide the poor parts. There’ll be a trailer park right next to the yacht supply store or the bougie craft beer bar, it’s nuts.
