why does it matter that she’s a latina? to me it sounds like

That’s just marketing, but it matters because marginalized groups want more representation. Whether Rockstar (already a fucked up company like other AAA game companies) follows through on the effort and depicts a positive and meaningful portrayal remains to be seen.

I don’t like the advertising without much proof, like Disney’s been doing for the past few years, but if GTA VI does a good job, it’ll matter to a lot of people who’ve wanted to see themselves in media.

Rockstar hasn’t said anything about GTA lol. It’s literally just fake news and speculation by dumbasses doing free marketing for a game that hasn’t even been announced, and you’re eating it right up.
