Honestly, if we could upgrade the RAM in phones, I’d probably be fine with this one for a decade. (Or until they start making phones with qwerty keypads again.)

We need a company for phones that’s like framework for laptops.

A fewhavextried but sadly failed. If they just made the phones less difficult to modify people could still at least have local technicians change components

Whether it be electronics, automobiles or medical equipment, the manufacturers should not be able to horde “oem” parts, render your stuff useless if you repair it with aftermarket parts, or hide schematics of their products.
