Edit : Yes there are workarounds using Revanced. Check the comments for some awesome help on how to do this if you wish! Just know, in the future it will most likely end up being patched annoyingly and I therefore recommend looking forward to the future with us here.

I ended up sideloading the APK from GitHub, since my Aurora store installation doesn’t intercept play store links πŸ˜₯

iirc you should be able to set it to open play store links. I know this because when i click on one it asks me what app i want to use with an option of the playstore, aurora store and fdroid.
