Yeah so European Ashkenazi Israeli’s dominate politics and the economy in Israel and systematically racialize and discriminate against African and Middle Eastern Jews of Magrehbi, Middle Eastern, Yemeni, Beta Israel, and Sephardic heritage. The degree of discrimination has varied over time but intra-Jewish racism has been a fact of Israeli life since the declaration of the state. Zionism is fundamentally a European settler-colonial fascist ideology, a european or white supremacist ideology, and that continues to be reflected in the racialization of brown Jewish people in Israel.
Recognizing and learning about this history of intra-Jewish racism and discrimination is important because it directly strikes against Zionism’s claim that Israel is a Jewish that that represents all Jewish people and is the only authentic voice of Jewish people. In reality Israel is not monolithic.
Yeah, I heard just the other day about Israeli physicians injecting Beta Israel (i.e. Ethiopian) Jews with medroxyprogesterone acetate, a long-term contraceptive, without their informed consent. It reminds me of what the Danish government did in Greenland in the '60s and '70s, giving thousands of Inuit IUDs without their consent.

I just wanted to highlight Greenland’s spiral case in particular because it’s only now getting an official investigation, Denmark is one of those countries that progressive Seppos like to hark on about how great it is, and IUDs like MPA do not permanently remove the ability to conceive a child — which means that deniers would only be lying by omission when they say “[group members] were never forcefully sterilized”.
That’s what broke me out of the idea that there was anything good or justifiable about Israel. If Israelis were willing to do eugenics to Jewish people then all the bullshit about it being a Jewish state and a safe place for Jewish people was lies. I literally thought “This is Nazi shit” and that shattered the spell.
Yeah, I sort of know a married couple of Israelis bcs they’re family friends, and they left Israel about five or six years ago (despite both actually being born there iirc (or it might have been that the husband was born there and the wife immigrated there, I can’t really remember)) because of the level of anti Russian racism that the wife was experiencing
