If you really don’t want to watch the movie, I’d say at least give the book a shot.

Imo, and at the risk of sounding cliche, the book is better.

I’m in my mid 30s and haven’t seen it. I’m not a film person at all but I’ll read the book now I know it was based on one! Thanks for the suggestion.
