I see what you’re saying and I don’t disagree really aside from the assumption that any furry is going to be a leftist. I wouldn’t do that anymore than I’d assume everyone with liberty spikes is an anarchist. I wouldn’t assume they were a nazi either but purely anecdotally every furry I’ve ever met was pretty apolitical. I don’t have any problem with them I just don’t perceive the community to have a cohesive ideology. I apologize if I’m mistaken in that I certainly meant no insult

yeah, i agree. saying [marginalized group x] is ALWAYS comrades is just wishful thinking and stereotyping. You always have to be on your toes and never assume people are revolutionary by default just because they’re a member of a marginalized group. People say this is “not worth bringing up” or “tone deaf” but that isn’t very convincing.

That’s a better wat of putting what I was trying to say. When I was a younger queer person I just kind of assumed anyone who dealt with what I did growing up would have compassion for other marginalized people. I found that was often not the case
