I want a camera with a motion sensor that can reliably WAKE ME UP when someone is approaching. I need to be able to get some sleep, but I need to wake up and react fast if someone walks up this street.

It’s quiet, and pretty dark. There should be no foot traffic under normal circumstances. Having a low rate of false positives would be great, obviously.

if you are a tech person, definitely take a look at HomeAssistant! https://www.home-assistant.io/

here’s an easy guide to get started for HA as an alarm system https://youtu.be/1IuYWsR5M4c

HA works with a plethora of devices. so off course it can work with a camera with AI for human detection then trigger the siren to on

Home automation is the residential extension of building automation.

It is automation of the home, housework or household activity.

Home automation may include centralized control of lighting, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), appliances, security locks of gates and doors and other systems, to provide improved convenience, comfort, energy efficiency and security.

Warning: Working with electricity can result in injury, property damage, or even death if it is not done properly. Please keep this in mind while assisting others. If you are not sure about what you are doing, hire a licensed professional.
