using wifi extender as access point for home server?

well have been having issues with my powerline setup (plug by server was being hogged with a spiller without knowing) my smart head though that buying a tplink re205 would resolve the issue, does this make sense?

I wouldn’t recommend powerlone but a mesh should resolve your issue given the signal is good. Is there a coax cable you can tap into?
