I have fiber 2gbps internet and HG8245Q2 router that I can’t replace.

My PC has nic: Intel® I225-V 2.5Gbps LAN and with my current workflow I have multiple connections open to different several hosts on the internet that upload/download data.

Is there a way to increase the total bandwitch I can achive from my PC to make us of the 2gbps connection?

I was thinking about getting a 2.5gb switch with LAG support. I could connect two ports to my router and third port to my PC.

Would that work (if yes what switch would be inexpensive but reliable option?)

Will the total bandwitch with several connections to different host exceed 1gbps?

Does my nic need to support link aggregation?

Thanks!

It would only work if the ISP router also supports aggregation in a way compatible with the switch (and you have access to configure the ports for it)

However, the point of greater-than-gigabit service is primarily to allow multiple devices to share the high speed. There are very few common situations where one individual device is going to be able to use that much at once.
