View all comments For those of us who can afford for University, it feels like extortion as I paid almost $5k for one semester for my Masters. I can only imagine how it must feel for the kids just coming out of High school and now have to incur hecs. Are we becoming Americanized?

I’m going to assume it’s an autocorrect issue, but just for those not familiar with Australia’s university student funding system and want to websearch it, it’s HECS, not hex.
