Meta says blame should fall on appstores. What willl be next, web browsers? or search engines ??

will search engines have to vett people age to use Facebook too?

edit: i’m changing the news article to one with no pay wall. went from Washingtonpost to the hill

You think this place with its calls to violence is moderated for kids? I bet you a SIGNIFICANT portion of the fediverse user base is children.

Not much, that account is a corporate bootlicking troll. Every time I have seen that username it’s followed by some shit take complaining that other people are complaining about greedy corporate practices.

I’m pretty sure the amount of people under the age of 18 who use the fediverse is very small. Feels like it’s mostly a bunch of 30+ years old communists
