At my school, we recently got what was going to be a decommissioned PC, and I wanted to maybe turn it into a media server that I could stream videos/movies from, Are there any good programs or operating systems that I could use? The computer is running Windows 10, and I don’t care about installing a new OS, as long as it’s manageable.

Sorry in advance if this is the wrong subreddit.

Jellyfin is what I use now. I was using Plex for the longest time, but I personally feel like they keep moving away from their roots so I ditched them for Jellyfin for about 2 years now and it’s been great I haven’t looked back. I still run Plex, but it’s for a few of my users that refuse to move off it 🤣
