There are now backlit display kits for all Game Boy models. It’s pretty great.
Take a look around sites like Retro Game Repair Shop to see a bunch of different Game Boy mods. Since the tech is so old there has been a lot of people working on different mods over the years.

Self-promotion of your site/product/channel isn’t forbidden as long as it’s done in good taste, and not too often. If we see that your account or c/gameboy activity is overwhelmingly used for self-promotion, your posts will be removed. If any self-promoting post gets reported to the moderators in great numbers, moderators are unlikely to protect/defend it. 6. Rule 6: Post ‘counterfeit cartridge’ questions in the Fake Cart Thread
