Also, you seem to have some pride that you were the one to man-up and work hard, when in reality people today work more than you did in an entire year. Both parents work nowadays, and the ratio of the cost of housing to that of wages is greater in our generation.

Let me give you some advice: Go look up the starting wages of a decent job for fresh graduates today (oh i forgot to mention college tuition was easier for you) and simultaneously look for a house in the area where you might find such a job.
