The kaaba’s lock and lock master are sorta interesting stories unto themselves.
The locks are changed every 30-50 years at this point but most are retained and given as relics though islamists aren’t really supposed to have any. That said the lock is still a traditional guarded lock with a traditional style key though longer and longer over time.
