His average depth of target was 0.8 yards in the first half, and, before the last drive, he had thrown 3 passes over 10 yards. Makes this way less impressive and shows why it’s important to have to full picture.

Throwing in his two almost game wrecking fumbles and that also adds to the picture. I was feeling stressed for him with the Boss man lurking behind that laptop.

Last season he had one of the highest passer ratings for throws longer than 20 yards. It’s not the player it’s the play caller.

The problem has always been intermediate throws with Fields, not deep throws. Unfortunately intermediate throws are the most important throws in the NFL.

With competent coaching and good roster building, Fields could’ve been one of the most dangerous QB’s in the league. Idk if he can turn it around, but every week under Getsy and Eberflus makes it that much less likely
