I think that’s pretty reductive… Most of the people who are indoctrinated by the military are like 17-19, it’s not exactly an environment that leads to free thought.
Even if they somehow are introduced to leftist materials in the military, it’s not like they can just leave. I think your statement reeks of privilege, and shows a deep misunderstanding of class consciousness.
Are we leftist because we want to sneer at those who lacked the educational environment to learn of leftism in the first place? Or, are we leftist because we want to join hands with other workers to displace those that call themselves our masters?
Well… If it’s the latter, can you think of a better comrade to link arms with, what better weapon is there to aim than a weapon forged by their own hand?
