If he gives everyone their money back for Godus, I’ll fully support him in the same way. Until that happens, he’s just a grifter now.

They been working on a lot of updates for Godus recently. Suddenly and out of the blue.

Have they? On Wikipedia I hilariously see:

The most recent update to Godus was 2 April 2015 and the last communication with 22Cans regarding the game and its Steam community was 13 May 2016. Despite many years without update or communication with 22Cans, the game is available for purchase as an early access title on Steam.

In a December 2021 interview, Molyneux stated that “we are announcing our first new set of features for Godus in almost two years and that should be coming out before Christmas.” It was not released before or after the Christmas timeframe, and nothing has been heard about the update since the interview.

What if the thing that hasn’t been seen in gaming before is actually just resurrecting Godus and fulfilling all the promises like a decade later when everyone thought it was dead?

Direction yeah, great stuff.

Why he’s still producing his own stuff after all this time is beyond me

You haven’t been paying attention to his recent history. He should have retired after Black & White.

I mean, the Fable series were rated pretty well, and The Movies were pretty fun. He had a good decade of pretty good stuff after Black & White, even if they weren’t as innovative as the previous decade.

It’s the FOLLOWING decade that have been worthless and he should have retired for.

Molyneux has been a snakeoil salesman for almost two decades at this point. His input is no longer valued.

Absolutley. Molyneux was a visionary, a vanguard, a trailblazer.

Problem is, all that is past tense, and his last ten or fifteen years have been spent overpromising and underdelivering.

I thought the then-Project Natal demo that turned out to be largely scripted would have been the killer blow to his reputation, but fair play to him he’s still hanging in there.
