American groups have helped to establish global web who share ideas and funding in bid to restrict gay and trans rights

The rest of the world will never care about trans rights, you have to accept that. It’s seen as mental illness because it is mental illness to them. You have to build bridges with traditional cultures, but instead the typical response is “bigot!” which is precisely why nobody outside the US cares

Hatemongers like you are always so whiny and uneducated… talking about ‘returning to tradition’ until they actually learn about the traditions, then it’s all ‘not like that’.

Turns out many traditional cultures recognized a variety of trans and nonbinary genders, it’s actually the bigotry that’s new.

That wasn’t hate, stating the fact that you can’t convince people they’re wrong by name calling, which is what you just did. That’s just throwing a fit because someone doesn’t agree with your viewpoint

Whine, whine, whine. Whatever you want to tell yourself dude, I’m not trying to convince you of anything, just pointing out how silly and back-asswards your ‘traditional cultures’ argument is.

You can’t convince anyone by generalising other cultures either. To start with, it’s Christianity that started the whole bigotry deal in some places. There are also places which provide better rights than the US. To say that the rest of the world will never care about trans right as if none are already caring right now is ignorant and pretty insulting, much more than someone calling out specific person for their behaviour.

Well that’s not true, they’ll care eventually. Progress takes time, and just like being gay was and is in certain areas seen as a mental illness, eventually the stigma will be worn away until only the truly fanatical cultures still have issues with it.

It’s also worth mentioning the conceptions of gender varies wildly cross culturally. Many cultures have millennia of trans acceptance pre-colonization. Truly the hegemonic obsession with gender is the anomaly in human history (i.e. shampoo…FOR MEN).

Are you saying America is the only place where people care about trans rights? 'Cause I gotta say, as a Canadian and a trans person, I’m SO glad I was born on this side of the border. I imagine I’d feel the same if I were born in (most of) western or northern Europe, Australia, New Zealand, etc. In my view, much of the US is absolutely full of vile bigotry towards trans folks, and only getting worse.
