Not too surprised, though it’s assuring seeing them doubling down on this path and the enshittification will continue. Better jump the ship sooner than later.

Yeah. Shutting down indefinitely won’t do any damage considering Reddit has made it clear that they will not change their stance. The community doesn’t have any leverage in the saying and they eventually will be forced to reopen.
Now, advertising alternatives and draining the user by saying they are moving to Discord or Lemmy? It may or may not make a dent but either way it’s still a much louder “fuck you” to spez.
