Took off my corporate smile, put on a comfortable shirt, laying on my bean bag, deep breathing. Giving myself permission to shut down after a heavy duty bout of masking has been the best part of learning about autism.

Exactly! I’ve determined to change my perspective on it from a sack of guilt and shame for not being productive to viewing it as part of the meeting process. After the meeting is the admin time, required to mentally process and file the info into long term memory and recharge the batteries.
