Good looking little dude. I have a family of Northern Cardinals in my yard that come to my feeders regularly. I had never seen a female cardinal before this year and now I have a mating pair, plus a juvenile male and female. Their lovely birds

We’ve got both northern and desert cardinals year round in these parts! They’re pretty flashy looking but the real stars ended up being the thrashers. They’re absurdly goofy and clever I adore them. I do wish they’d stop mimicking car alarms in the early morning sometimes. Nothing I’ve read says they mimic anything other than bird calls but I guess they didn’t read that part 🙃
