My family was never much into trick or treating, but we usually like to get together with family / friends and watch Arsenic and Old Lace or Luther or something like that.

How about you?

I grew up being taught that Halloween was a pagan/demonic holiday and “real” Christians don’t celebrate it.

As an adult I definitely changed my tune. How is someone dressing up as a scarecrow worshiping Satan? Sometime I want to go trick-or-treating with someone. Just to experience something I didn’t experience as a kid.

Me, I used to go trick-or-treating with my family growing up and even as Christians we thought it was just another harmless holiday where we live.

Here’s an article from a ministry I read from:

https://www.gotquestions.org/Christians-celebrate-Halloween.html

I just reread it and it should clarify for us all.

Personally, I don’t celebrate the holiday anymore even as an adult believer even now but my parents believe too and they recognize Halloween as a harmless holiday we all have.

So the holiday is somewhat a mixed bag for me.
