Even if we’re subscribed to them? Could a temp block exist in conjunction with a subscription? I love c/memes but holy shit no matter which sort I select by they’ve managed to overwhelm my feed.
I want Local, Subscribed, All and Curated
Curated should be one or more filter sets that can be set by instance admins or users. Instance Curated lists are available to all users, personal are, personal.
Oh, that could be useful
Also, my memory might need some work but was there talk about multis at some point?
OP, I’m thinking this sounds an awful lot like a support question, because it’s about using Lemmy and Lemmy functionality. You posted so you probably already have an opinion - why does this question belong in this community?
I’m asking because it seems borderline and I don’t want to remove it purely due to interpretation.
Sorry about that, it does feel a bit ambiguous doesn’t it?
I think I just wanted to gauge other people’s thoughts and brainstorm a bit but if you feel it’d be better to move it I can do that, your call.
I just blocked them outrught
I just don’t subscribe to those communities and that seems to work well enough. When I don’t want to see it, I sort by subscribed. If I’m in the mood for memes or shitposts, I sort by all.
You can always configure it on uBlock Origin (supposing you are using the web version)
Before influx of Reddit users, there were too much of topics I didn’t want to get into. So i just created my own cosmetic rules:
lemmy.ml##.d-sm-block.d-none > .row:has-text(Blockchain)
lemmy.ml##.d-sm-block.d-none > .row:has-text(ChatGPT)
What it does, is, that it blocks entries that contains unwanted phrases like ‘Blockchain’ or ‘ChatGPT’ .
If you don’t like me, for example, you can also add:
lemmy.ml##.d-sm-block.d-none > .row:has-text(raubarno)
And you won’t see my posts.
