This is a good thing for the metroplex, at the least it’s supporting 100s of Texas local artists. That being said, color me skeptical of it being a cookie cutter, bland-ish grapevine shallow version of the original.

I hope I’m wrong! I’ll still go check it out either way! I also shouldn’t really be a Grapevine hater either since I haven’t been to that mall in many years.

It’s fun! But temper your expectations. There is a lot of cut and paste from house of eternal return. Well, that’s not necessarily a bad thing, since house is just so good and it’s a nice introduction to Meow Wolf. But it does mean that you’ve seen bits and pieces of it before. Also, IMHO the story is weak and where HoER has 3 or 4 different stories going on at once, you don’t get that here. Which, honestly, is a shame. I was blown away by the depth of storytelling in Santa Fe, and amazed at the breadth of Convergence Station, this one pales by comparison. That said, make sure to see the trailer, since it gives some more info about what happened after HoER.
