Damn that’s an unsurprisingly depressing read.

It’s hard to even fathom how much of a mental toll the conditions they live in would take on a person let alone a child who has known nothing else.

And an added bonus bit of misery is that 65% of the population is under 24 and the average age is 18. Source

I’m honestly surprised that number is so low.

Yes, violence is always causing more harm than good and isn’t the way to look for a peaceful solution to the problem.

And Hamas is thriving because of the despair of the local population, if they were living in better conditions they would have never been elected in the first place.

And the current surge of far right and nationalist parties in Israel is fuelled by Hamas and their insurrection, so one can guess that both sides need one other to spread racial and religious hatred.

When you think about the second World war, the Nazi party went into power mostly because of the extremely unfair Versailles treaty and the enormous repatriation imposed on Germany. If it wasn’t for this the world could have avoided all the suffering that the second World war caused.

What is Israel doing right now with Gaza and the West Bank is exactly the opposite of what they should try to do if they were seriously interested to find a peaceful solution of this decade old conflict.
