Voice channels similar to discord and Teamspeak, where you don’t need to “call” the people you want to talk to, you just join the channel. Is this a feature in Matrix?

Not sure if there is a better way for your set up, but if you go to the room info (I at the top right), add widgets, bridges & bots, and add Jitsi Meet, it will set up a voice and/or video meeting that will run. Then anyone can join the meeting whenever they’d like.
I believe it’s what element call is for, it’s still in developpement and I can’t wait for it to ne finished, calling in matrix kinda suck rn
