[Test post] Can I post to #Lemmy from #Mastodon by mentioning @fediverse sublemmy?

Let’s see if it works…

That’s how the internet was designed, full connectivity. This corpo walled garden bullshit isn’t. And the Fediverse is still young, so there’s gonna be bugs, but it’ll continue to grow and develop. Even if folks go back to Reddit or Twitter or where ever. It’ll always be here. The power of open source. It doesn’t depend on the whims of 1 corpo douche bag trying to squeeze another cent out of volunteers.

Wow, looks like it actually works! Awesome!

But I had no notification that @fediverse boosted my post.

Also I see all replies to Lemmy posts while viewing a sublemmy from Mastodon. I expected to see only main posts, not their replies.

@th3rdsergeevich for some reason @fediverse don’t see this comment that I left:

Looks like you have to mention a subsemmy (in this case @fediverse ) to make comments federate properly.

Edit: Also, you can edit posts and Lemmy will update them.

How it looks on my end from Lemmy

It’s only weird because the text is copied to the title and body, revealing weirdness with the links
