This is a repeating theme that I noticed across Lemmy users and Fediverse communities - it would be much more approachable and simpler for end users if we got nomadic identities implemented. Basically, every server hosting an instance would need to also provide something of SAML / SSO- like endpoint for user authentication. That would be cool, if you could login on geddit.social with acccount from lemmy.world, for example.

That’s how I thought it worked when I first heard about Lemmy, but that would make it better, giving you the option to have only one account across multiple products or not.
