What do they have against Lemmy?

Not sure, exactly. One mod said it’s too buggy, basically. Though, considering how much they complain about the big Reddit Mods and so on and so forth and talk a big game when it comes to transparency and so on, it’s 100% reasonable, as well as entirely prudent and important - even vital - to have a (more) decentralized (you know, “web3” -esque), federated platform to discuss the whole GameStop thing.

The fact that they censor the word “Lemmy” and other hinting towards it from anyone tells you everything you need to know.

They don’t actually want decentralization, they want crypto that they can ponzi scheme

So they can censor and stifle any new discussion

This is probably the most concise, albeit, cynical and probable reason when considering all factors.

i mean what good-faith reason could possibly exist for banning any mention or discussion of the existence of Lemmy?

i can’t see one

Given all the warnings and threats that reddit admins have made, you’d think they’d appreciate lemmy being around
