What a fucking horrible precedent to set. Utterly baffling. In no way shape or form do I condone the chanting of someone who’s dead, but my God this makes virtually no sense. Same people who probably gobble the nuts of the royal family that want to protect the legacy of a man who died of natural causes and make the life of a 17 year old miserable just to prove a point. Outrageous and insufferable.

Nobody was saying this about the fan with a ‘97’ shirt getting nicked. It’s a public order offence to sing ‘tragedy chants’ or have banners or symbols about the same. Lots of people have been and will be arrested for doing this sort of thing because the authorities don’t want people goading one another into violence.
