I’m running a homebrew 5e campaign and one of my players had said something that had us all cracking up, in the middle of a pretty serious and semi-dark session they dropped the line, “There’s more than one way to pickle a baby.”
I’m wondering what other funny or cool quotes you’ve heard either from yourself or your players around the tabletop!
“No, we are not stopping to talk to our mysterious doubles. We’re murderhobos and I don’t want to get shot with my own Eldritch Blast!”
My party was hurrying through some caverns to rescue some prisoners. While taking a shortcut they encountered a roper, dangling from the ceiling among the stalactites.
Several of the party spent most of the fight hanging upside-down, being pulled upwards toward the roper.
After they’d defeated the roper and moved on to where one of the prisoners was being held, he asked them why they hadn’t come sooner.
The sorcerer replied, “We got held up.”
Artificer: “This is Bixby, and he’s my coping mechanism.”
Bixby, the construct who sounds like Danny Devito: “That’s right, I’m a mechanism and I’m trying to cope.”
