Anyone else surprised at how much xg West Ham are conceding? Moyes teams are usually great at defending but they’re been very open this season. They had also seemed to spend the Rice money quite well too

Defense is indeed our problem with season.

We are good at attacking most of the time, fast, and accurate.

But we are inviting the opposition a lot. There are games where they can’t create much danger. Our set up is great, and we look coherent. And there are times when the defense has brain farts and we conceed shit goals. We are good at attacking but if can’t score more than them…

I don’t know if it’s between the set up and the instructions of Moyes, or Emerson, Aguerd and Coufal not good enough. It should be a mix of both

Our games against Arsenal and Palace had fuck all xG in it so that lines up, guess we’re pretty boring.

Hey, you actually managed to get 1.18 xg against Arsenal which is one of the highest theyve allowed all year

Yeah I think I remember the goal being 0.57 xG and the missed Brennan chance early in the game being like 0.4 or something so 2 big chances and only 1 taken. They scored from a wonderstrike and a deflection so we did well keeping them under 1 xG.

That arsenal City match tracks wasn’t very entertaining for neutrals. Also a bit surprised to see west ham so high

It will be with any low block.

Most xG models don’t change if there is 0 or 5 defenders between the player and the goal. So against a low block you may get into a good xG position but it will just get blocked.
