I think it’s pretty decent, but I’ve only watched the anime. Is the manga worth reading?

I started the manga but quickly dropped it. I think the premise just didn’t catch me.

Chainsawman and JJK both bring a setting that’s wide enough to allow for some really interesting exploring of their concept, but for me Hell’s is almost too specific.

Our location is locked in and the story pretty much rides on how interesting they can make it.

Our main characters have such a specific mission and motivation that the whole thing feels like it’s on rails.

I’m on episode 4 of the show which is what it was up to when I binged it, but I haven’t been able to get back into it yet :/

I think the anime has been a decent adaptation, but the manga obviously goes much further than the anime can in a single season.

I’m reading it in Japanese to practice, and it has been quite the challenge — a lot of Buddhist & Taoist language, concepts and terms to learn.

It’s decent but not amazing. But it could be just me, i’m not a big fan of these fighting animes and i’m watching weekly so it’s probably good if you usually like that genre

I think it’s a great read. The character exploration and development is really what carries Hell’s Paradise, but there are a lot of hype moments to keep you invested as well. The last arc was… alright, but overall, it’s a solid 7.5/10 for me.
