Hello, I have a Linksys WRT54G and the firmware version is: v1.00.6, can I upgrade it to get access to the repeater or the router is too old?

Thanks

You might find bargains on newer gear with higher specs at resale shops.

This is spot on. Freah tomato is another wrt option.

And that 54mbps is max theoretically usally you get about 70% real world and as you want it as a repeter split that connection in 1/2
