Hey there,

I saw a link earlier for a 2U rack which handles 2x ITX motherboards, and it got me thinking, are there any other racks which can handle 2, 3, or even 4 ITX/mini-ITX motherboards?

Here is 1 I have seen so far, a twin ITX rack from 2013: https://www.genesysgroup.com.tw/s208b-twinitx.htm

If anybody knows of any, could you please post some links?

Thanks!

you could probably fit 4 in a 4RU case if you just got some really long standoffs between the 2 motherboards. Then just need to dremel out the back of the case and you’re set.

15min with a sharpie, a drill and tap says any 2U case fits as many ITX systems as you can physically fit in the space. Then probably 2-3 hours working out the wiring so the redundant psu’s power them all.

Why bother with multiple motherboards when you can just have 1 and many VM’s?
