What a nice episode. Thorfinn finally getting to see his family after all those years of sorrow. Even though his sister doesn’t recognize him at first it was still a wholesome episode to finish the season. Such a beautiful pay-off. Here’s hoping for another beautiful third season!

On Crunchyroll’s comments I see there’s always a few unhappy people about the anime changing the pace but I’m really glad they did. It got so much deeper now. I have to admit I got a few goosebumps and even cried a bit in these last 2 episodes.

So what happened after those scenes with Thorfinn’s sister being led away in chains at the end of Season 1?

Now we see her, none the worse for wear.

What happened? Were those Thorfinn’s fears about what happened to his family in Iceland?
