Its been April since I came back.
I always had a good time there, culture, people, food, nature, short term friends and some dating
Here I have high rent, no long term friends, non existant dating, it makes me always think about booking a ticket back, including all my friends saying they will go
Anyone have a similiar feeling?
Have you thought about getting a digital nomad job?
I do have it. The issue is the visa. I work remote on an island where I have my tax residency
Get a muay thai education visa. Costs 35k baht and you can stay six months
Your name is young and wealthy. Just get Thai Elite visa. Super easy.
Or apply for LTR visa under wealthy citizen category. More paperwork but still easy if you are high networth
It’s not the money, its staying time, they tripled the visa, also I feel money could be spent better elsewhere. Why would I spend 2k on a flight when I can spend 700? Same reasoning, thai elite tripled in price and is invite only.
I would love something like that but no idea what that is or how to get started. Im abut to quit my current profession so knowing this right now would be very helpful
Search your skill set amongst active remote jobs and see what comes up. Or search popular jobs and work on your skills.
Ah I see what you mean, though I’m in trade for profession so won’t have luck in that department 😅
I started back to my ‘real’ life in September.
Heading back to Thailand in January.
Yes, about my 3 months in Mexico. It changed my life. I would live there if they had reliable Amazon prime 🤣
i traveled for years. now i have a family, kids. it’s a small window of time that you have this freedom. don’t waste it
The best option is avoiding the family / kids and just plowing (dating) for decades.
that sounds pretty lonely.
not to mention all the awkward meetup with cousins and friends who all have kids and you’re alone.
I spend a good portion of every year in Thailand. It’s where I feel most relaxed.
Me too. Thailand and Bali, at least a month or two in each annually. Often I ended up in Bali more though.
