So to start, Motorola has clearly dropped support for their MoCa adapters. Absolutely nobody should buy them even though the Motorola store is still selling them on Amazon.

Now my actual question. The links on the Motorola site are all dead. Does anyone know what the default login and password for these devices is? Doesn’t seem to match any known pair I can find.

In 2021 Motorola had a reported CVE where you could essentially just dump console commands via post in a url. Their version of patching it appears to be to change the IP. I’m worried that the new one I have has this ‘mitigation’ and that their big brained people decided the mitigation should be just to make it impossible to log in.

Anyone have the security faq screenshotted or the login info by any chance? I’m hoping I’m wrong and the info is just unconventional for Motorola.

I have already tried admin and motorola as username and password.

No firmware but here’s a link to the security configuration instructions to log in from internet archive.

I checked the internet archive and totally forgot this. Thank you thank you a million times over.

Also tiny bit of good news for anyone else looking. It appears their old email support@motorolanetwork.com is dead along with the whole domain name (and the one where the support docs were hosted. But they seem to have migrated to a different email and different domain (forgetting the content). You can email motorola-network@custhelp.com instead for support.

Hopefully I can get some more stuff from them and post it here.
