I am trying to install a few recessed led lights that are dimmable. To automate them, I want to add a smart WiFi relay that is able to dim them as well as turn them on/off. I seem to find either dimmer relays or switches that work with external dimmers. I can’t seem to find them both functionality in one.

You’re not going to find a relay dimmer as a relay is a on/off only device what you’re wanting is a dimmer that can go to zero so any of the devices that work with the type of bulb you have right the LED or whatever it says it’s a dimmer we’ll have the ability to go completely to zero and turn the light off

I’m confused what you are not finding. There are so so many smart switches on the market, they dim, and then the dim all the way to off.

They don’t have a relay, they just (more or less) dim until the light is off.

Zooz, inovelli, leviton, ge, all the brands make dimming smart switches.

I think what you want is all those recessed lights going to a single pole switch on a wall. Then install you a nice dimmer switch of your preference. I like inovellis.

Shelly makes one that’s currently half off for Black Friday (just got an email ad for it)

Maybe it’s different in the US but here in Europe I have trouble finding a mains-powered rotary knob, they all come with an internal dimmer, like this one, which I believe is what you want?
