however when I run a speed test over wifi connection it’s usually in the 45mbps range. Will buying and using a 3rd party wireless router allow me to get the full speed or close to the full speed I’m paying for over Wi-Fi?

And what devices are you seeing the slow wifi speeds on? Your connecting to a 5GHz network correct? 45mbps sounds like 2.4GHz WiFi.

45-50MB is the max speed of a 2.4ghz channel, please make sure you’re on 5ghz

Wireless is half duplex, you are paying for 200 Mbps, the max you can get is 100 and then is an issue of the antena on your device, I get more on laptop, less on ipad and even less on iphone.
