It re-swallowed the water after this photo. Would anyone happen to know why it would have done that?

I just know houseflies sometimes do it with what is kinda their spit to pick up food, but wasps have a totally different mouth made for killing bugs and even knawing wood for their paper nests

Don’t flies regurgitate onto their food to help pre-digest it? I learned this from that fabulous documentary, The Fly.
